March 12, 2012 - Thank you to everyone for your support during these past 4 weeks. I am proud to say that we were able to provide Flip's family with a cheque for $3200! Fil is doing impressively well for someone who endured an injury such as his. He is still in the hospital and is hoping to be transferred back home soon to continue his recovery. Flip still has a long way to go in his recovery; however, he is getting stronger everyday and has overcome some amazing odds.

Hahaha gotta love getting a lift to work @ 630am while Flip 'serenades' us at the top of his lungs 'Out on the Weekend' by Neil Young. Miss you buddy, sending all the well wishes, hugs and love from the Sun Peaks Crew here in Australia :)

When I think of flip, three things come to mind; 1) pinning it down blue runs down main mountain, 2) skiing pow at Revelstoke, and 3) poaching hot tubs. Beer and giggles are plentiful with all of these activities!

So many good times, shredding pow in the trees at Revy, naked hot tubbing at the delta, chilling at the zoo, ripping down the 5 mile switch, and of course the famous ridge beers! Keep up the fight mate!

Flip gives us many memories. Some of the best involve a combination of caesars and garbage tabogganing ,his talent for portraying Neil Young in middle of a busy bar and of course his countless selfless deeds done with nothing but a big goofy smile.Never stop fighting Flipper; becuase we will never stop loving you.

Of all the people on the mountain, many of whom I had known for the better part of a decade, Flip was the first person to offer me a spot on his couch when I broke my back and was forced out of staff accommodation. Flip, when you get out of hospital, my couch is yours.

Also, I've never seen a non-Australian take to Australia Day like such a machine before.

When Jen Sartor called to tell me of what happened, it was very hard to hear that such a horrible thing happened to such an amazing guy. I hope to hear news of your speedy recovery very soon. Lots of love, Leslie Day.

Fil - I am hoping and praying for a speedy recovery. It's a parent's nightmare to have something happen to their child. I know they will want to be there with you as much as possible. So I am very glad to be able to help in some small way! Thanks Jess for setting this up.

Here's one of too many stories...in the summer of 2007 Flip, Bacci and some other friends went camping at "Moose Lake." When we were driving home after the weekend we stopped in Bracebridge for some delicious breakfast at McDonald's...mmm (PUKE). After we ate like it was our last meal we decided that we needed to go across the street and get a BOX of doughnuts...that's right TWELVE in the box...three of us...Flip and Bacci had no problem eating 4 each, I think I stopped at 3...gross...

Oh Flip, for the times of your monotone whistling and many, many simpsons quotes, I pray for a fast recovery. Hearing about this back home in Ontario is tough, but we all know you are a tough character.

One awesome memory I had from skiing at the peaks was the oil on the face (with Kayla) to get a killer goggle tan, something a true skier will always try to take advantage of. oh and thinking fil isn't THAT good of a skier, meanwhile I spent most of my day chasing him down, in the trees... all while he was skiing backwards. SKILLS!!

Don't worry Fil, everything is coming up Milhouse!!
